Our spacious first floor studio truly is the perfect space to forget about the outside world, just for a little while, and be within the moment. Its relaxing calming energy offer a lovely space for you to connect and bond with your baby through our guided sessions. The ever changing energy and atmosphere of the studio gives it a dynamic edge for multi use, and brings a high energy in our toddler, child or lovely mummy classes too.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET THERE?

How it works

Be welcomed into our waiting area on the ground floor, and help yourself to a drink if you want one too, make yourself feel at home, this is your space. We have room both downstairs and upstairs for you to leave your pushchair if you have one. If you don’t want to head into the ground floor waiting room which is in the fitness studio, you can of course head straight upstairs and sit in our comfort room which is right at the top of the stairs.

We have a lovely small room for you to feed, change or just sit and have a minute to yourself! In the upstairs corridor there is space for you to pop anything you don’t need in the class, we love to have a nice tidy studio for our classes so only take in what you need, and take anything valuable in the studio with you too. When you come in just pick a mat for your class and take a seat and get yourself and baby comfortable.

Our babies lead our classes, so if they cry, need fed, or changed, always be free to give them what they need, its always ok. Some babies settle into classes straight away, and others take a little time to feel at ease, we love the varying personalities in our babies and its lovely to see how they change each week too.

Mama Fit

Suitable for after your 6-8 week check, though the type of birth and recovery may determine when you are able to start. We aim to get you moving after your baby and improve strength, balance, mobility and core control. The group is small, ensuring I can correctly coach, and maintain a high level of concentration with everyone. You can bring your baby too, and the option is there to include them in the session, or without them. Each person may be different in the session, so the group is tailored to each individuals ability, whilst working through any limitations, or issues. A perfect start to regaining that before baby body!

Development of body and mind

Baby Massage

Learn lots of practical tools to soothe and calm your baby, and have some lovely bonding time. Massage will aid in development of body and mind, and well as help with co ordination, promote relaxation, and generally calm a fussy baby. It’s a great tool to help with bonding of your baby, and encouraging positive touch. Babies first language is that of touch, so it’s a fab way to learn to communicate with them. We use songs, rhymes and sensory play in the class to keep it fun and interactive. Babies must have had the 6-8 week check up, and it is suitable for up to crawling age.

Baby Yoga

A lovely class both for you and baby, which will bring you some much needed relaxation, and relief of tightness or tension in your body too. As you are guided into some gentle stretches and mobilisations. We work through Gentle stretches and mobilisations combined with smooth movements, for your baby, which is great for building a long term pattern of exercise. We use a combination of yoga, breathing techniques, songs, rhymes and sensory play, to give a really fun session. Babies must have had the 6-8 week check up, and it is suitable for up to crawling.

2 years plus

Toddler yoga

Through story telling based around a theme each week, we explore yoga positions in a fun and creative way. Children learn balance, co ordination, build strength, learn how to carry out tasks, and respond to given information. A great way to build self awareness, and awareness of the body. We use breathing techniques, mantras, affirmations, and relaxation techniques to create a fun yet calm class. The class will build confidence, body awareness, and overall learning. We have two classes, our Miniyogis which is age 2-3, and our Bigyogis which is age 3-5.

BE A PART OF IT

Mum's club is launched

Our Holos mums club delivers a lovely whole approach to wellness and fitness for babies and mummies. It’s something new, something that isn’t currently offered anywhere else and something we truly believe mummies and babies out there will massively benefit from.

What does the club involve?

Our class opens each week the same with a welcome song for babies, so they begin to learn each week that we have “arrived” and about to start a lovely class. Babies learn through repetition so the beginning is always the same.

We follow with a guided relaxation to connect us all, to connect with your baby, and to reflect. Guided by me we then share some reflections, struggles, shared experiences and wins to help each other through new and ongoing motherhood.

Now it’s the babies turn!

We work through some over the clothes massage, and gentle yoga style movements combines with songs or rhymes to engage and encourage development and awareness. We combine with sensory items and sensory play to awaken and evolve the senses.

Now it’s your turn!

We gently work through mobilising and releasing the body from any tightness created from sitting during those long feeds, or having an uncomfortable power nap on the sofa! We let the body relax and encourage it to become looser to combat those aches and pains.

Then it’s time to work it a little!

The core muscles of the torso have looked after your baby for a long time, so let’s look after them. We work through beginning to regain strength and movement, specifically for the core, but through the whole body too. We work to your own individual level, so no need to worry if you haven’t done anything in a long time. You are in safe hands! 

New mummies lives are pretty constant, and trying to feed yourself probably takes a back seat! Lots of new mummies desire to lose some of the “baby weight” so we discuss nutrition, shared ideas, and I teach you each week about correct post natal nutrition, and the science behind how to reduce body fat. No shakes, no counting points, no restrictions, no fads, and no short term fix. The concept works long term and ongoing. It’s science!

We then close the session with a relaxation for you and baby, a chance to a guided reflection, and another last chance to absorb what you have done and learnt. We don’t rush out, you can feed, ask questions, have a cuppa and do anything you need to before you head off.

Mum club is a lovely 90 minute session so is priced differently and is £36 for the block of 4 weeks.
